MG Spare Keys Cut
There are a number of different systems fitted across the Rover/MG vehicle range, which vary slightly. The system can only be enabled and disabled using the remote key fob, if the vehicle is locked with the mechanical key only the alarm is not armed.
The alarm works in three ways, one is to enable the ultrasonic alarm, the second is engine immobilisation and the third is central locking. If your MG will not start it is worth checking the remote battery first as this is a common problem when Rover/ MG vehicles fail to start.
At Devon Security we can replace lost or faulty keys and remotes easily at the roadside without the need for the vehicle to be recovered to the dealer.
